SO WHAT DOES A CHAMBER OF COMMERCE DO, ANYWAY?

Incorporated in 1921 as a business organization, the Twinsburg Chamber of Commerce has grown in proportion to the growth of the community both in its membership and in the services it renders.  Although primarily concerned with the support and promotion of the business community, the Chamber directs its efforts toward all aspects of local progress in government, education, and community.  The Chamber’s business is helping grow businesses in the community through cost saving membership benefits, economic development, community development and tourism.  Our motto is “Growing Your Business, Growing Our Community”.

In these tough economic times, the Chamber offers the following cost saving benefits to its qualifying members: preferred premiums on workers' compensation, health care through Anthem, and commercial lines of insurance; up to 25% off of e-mail blast marketing tools; and special negotiated rates on print media advertising.

Monthly business meetings and workshops provide educational opportunities to learn new business approaches and techniques, meet with fellow business people, discuss mutual problems and share ideas.  The Twinsburg Chamber also sponsors Business Connects events, bringing the business community together in a social setting, and providing networking opportunities among participants and showcasing the host’s products or services.  The Chamber News is a monthly electronic newsletter containing articles of interest and updates from various local, county, state and federal agencies and business sources, as well as announcements and information from our business members.

The Chamber works for business-friendly legislation on local, state and federal levels.  A special website, www.TwinsburgBusinessVotes.com, designed in conjunction with the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and VoteForBusiness.com  offers information regarding voter registration, candidates and issues, in a non-partisan manner.

So, what does a Chamber do?  We educate, advocate, and promote business in the community, and offer member businesses a host of cost savings benefits.  How may we help you?

The Chamber office is located on the square in Twinsburg at 9044 Church Street.  Please call (330) 963-6249 or e-mail Doug Johnson at djohnson@twinsburgchamber.com for additional information.
